Saturday morning began for me at 5am. This is not normal in the least bit. I like my sleep and normally won't answer my phone before 9:30 or 10 am on most mornings. But for Buie I got up at 5am this particular Saturday.
You see, Buie is a Hogs fan and the Hogs only play in Little Rock twice a year. B got tickets to the game on Saturday and decided we should tailgate. The only problem was he had to work til almost noon. Well, if you've ever tailgated at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, then you know if you wait til noon you won't have a spot. An estimated 100,000 people were to be tailgating this past Saturday. After asking around to veteran tailgaters, I decided the earlier the better.I found us a good spot on the golf course and parked it at 7:25am....then I waited. Buie, along with a few of our friends, didn't arrive til noon or later. So for about 4 or 5 hours, I just chilled on the golf course.... by myself. Oh and did I mention that I'm not even a Hogs fan?
The things we do for love.
I DID get to see the cutest kid at the tailgate party though. My brother's family stopped by to hang out for a few hours. Landon had lots of blueberries, grapes and a few strawberries!
The rest of us had Buie's burgers, wings, beanie weanies and plenty of chips & dip! B even bought a new portable grill for the event!
The two LSU fans even joined in the Razorback spirit and called the Hogs with our Hog hats on! It was definitely a momentous occasion! ha!
