Summer Bucket List (Updated)

*Updated!

With the arrival of Memorial Day means that summer is here for school kids.  Summertime was always such a fun time in our family growing up. Mom was so good to plan fun activities and take us to neat places. While we don't have kids and yes we still have jobs that go on in the summer time, it doesn't mean we can't enjoy a little fun this summer. So me & B made a bucket list for this summer to accomplish a few fun things. Take a peak at our summer bucket list:

  • Go Camping
  • Eat snow cones
  • Make smores by the fire pit
  • Have a family picnic
  • Host a game night with friends
  • Little Rock Farmer's Market
  • Go to a Local Museum
  • Traveler's Game
  • Enjoy Watermelon
  • Little Rock Zoo
  • Make Homemade Lemonade
  • Grill out with friends (at least once) Memorial Day Weekend we grilled out twice with friends! :)
  • Take our nephew & niece somewhere fun for an afternoon (This one might be hard to do with our niece since she lives in Louisiana but we will try!)
  • Movies in the Park  Wondering what movie I saw? Check it out here
  • Finish my photography home studio! I'm super excited about this one. :)

Movies in the Park

Today is the first official day of summer and I am marking things off my Summer Bucket List. Last summer I really wanted to go to Movies in the Park but I never did. This year, it went on the list. So I gathered my best girl friends for one of my all time favorite movies - Steel Magnolias!

We met at the Capital Hotel Bar & Grill for dinner beforehand then walked down to the amphitheater. I brought a big quilt for us to sit on a plenty of bug spray for everyone. To be honest, we didn't watch much of the movie but we had such a good time catching up with good friends.

And the sunset was worth it all. I will definitely go back again for another Movies in the Park night. To check out the schedule go to Movies in the Park website

Play Day!

I needed today so much.

All week long I have been staring at a computer screen editing pictures until I thought I might scream! Sometimes I just need to step away and remember that life is happening outside the four walls of my home office.

So I called my brother Craig to see what they were up to. When I heard that they were headed to War Memorial's new splash pad, I loaded up Scooter and headed their way.

And I'm so glad I did.

So when you think you might go crazy with cabin fever - step away from your computer and GO OUTSIDE! It's amazing what a little vitamin D, 2 cute little boys and a black lab can do for your soul.
