Conner will be two in December and I believe what everyone says about the terrible twos is true...even for dogs. While Conner is so sweet, loyal and loving, he can also have his moments.
He had one of these moments yesterday.
THIS is what I came home to yesterday. Thankfully my camera was sitting right next to the front door so I snapped a few pictures right when I saw this mess....
Apparently, Conner found a trash bag full of shredded paper. On Sunday, Buie shredded a bunch of old bills and we had it all bagged up ready to go to recycling.
After I got over the initial shock, we played in it for a little while and he had so much fun. I figured there was really no way to disipline him because I didn't actually SEE him to do. He could have done this hours ago and would have been confused as to why I was scolding him... Anyway, it was fun playing in it for the time. And we had it cleaned up before Daddy came home! :)
Dogs can be little stinkers sometimes, but if you stress over the little things you will never learn to appreciate the fun times. Like the saying goes, When life hands you lemons you make lemonaid... or in our case, When Conner makes a mess with shredded paper, you PLAY in it!
And besides, how could I be mad at a face like this?

i am not going to lie... i just laughed out loud really hard about this! the pictures are hilarious!!! i am the same way...if i didnt SEE it...they dont get scolded! :) Don't tell Casey that though! I always tell him that I did scold! :) The other day...Casey put some of those "stick in the ground" type of lights in our backyard around our tree (because they looked awful in front yard) and i came home to skeeter just running around the backyard with one in his mouth... like he had fetched a stick or something! It was about as big as him! Stick in mouth...light on the end of it... super happy puppy... GEEZ! Gotta love them! They keep us laughing!
That is so funny that you said you couldn't scold him because you didnt SEE him do it! I say that all the time when my mom says that Romeo needs to be disciplined! He is just too cute and I cant bring myself to hurt his feelings!
OH MY WORD!!! That Connor IS a stinker! A typical two year old, for sure. :-) Luke still sleeps with his Webkinz version of Connor.
those pics are hilarious! connor has some cute facial expressions and he almost looks a little embarrased. glad you were able to capture that moment.
um...yeah. that looks like my house on a day-to-day basis...impressive though. he and lucy should have some sort of competition to see who can make the biggest mess. oh wow, while i was writing this comment, i noticed lucy had a sharpie and was about to write on a stuffed animal...i'm a good mom...
Awww! Conner is so adorable! I'll bet that he and Ralph would get into all sorts of trouble.
